    Reno Gun Stores

I maybe making a run to the Reno area to relax and gamble a bit. Looks like I've missed all the guns shows, but are there any cool gun stores that has a wide selection of merchandise? I'm mainly looking for inexpensive ammo.
For some reason, I always thought Miwall was based around Reno??? Their website seems to be down so I can't confirm.

    Joel,
I think Miwall is in California, but Outdoor Marksmen handles all the ammo orders and they are located in Oregon.
I have nothing to offer along the lines of Reno ammo deals. If you go be sure to visit Sportmens Warehouse.

If your going this weekend, there actually is a show going on. But if your not going this weekend, definatly check out Sportsman Wharehouse. Good selection, and good prices.

Mark thanks for the heads up regarding locations. I'll take both your suggestion and head into Sportsmans Warehouse.

Could you be so kind as to post the phone # or address for Sportsman Warehous in Reno - this one is new to me.

As for ammo, check the River City Gun Exchange in Sact - lots of ammo. Its near Hwy 99 and Fruitvale. Also they will pop up doing a net search.

FYI - I see that Cabela's will be opening a new Reno Store in 07.

Plumb sounds close to the strip, I'll have to look that up too. I can at least drool at the guns....

If you have a C&R, check out Silver State arms at 3020 Kietzke ln (just north od sportsman's warehouse). They have neat stuff.

When we went in November, we found 4 gun shops in the local telephone directory. None were anything to write home about. Just telling you so you don't get your hopes too high up.

There is one outside of Carson that carries class 3 stuff, hes a good guy and will open the safes for you to check it out, he has a indoor shooting range and a greasy spoon kitchen that will rig you up with Biscuits and gravy.

He's past the outdoor shooting range on the way to the dumps/landfill.

I think its HWY33 or 31? Just head toward virginia city.

Been to and bought from half the shops on that list.
                        For guns:
Silver State has a great selection and great service, I've bought quite a bit from them.
They also have a large amount of C&R stuff segregated from the rest of the inventory for you 03 guys.
Mark Fore & Strike is another good one down on Kietzke.

Bizzare Guns has a good sized inventory as well as a huge Guitar selection next door, probably not a very california friendly shop, though.

Gun Trader is a nice shop...but again, won't sell much to a california resident.
Sportsman's Warehouse is awesome...I never get tired of that store. Great deals to be had on ammo and accessories.

You can buy ammo at Longs Drugstores here.

                        I love this place.

I just got back from Reno, Sportman's Warehouse is like my Toys 'R Us.

If I didn't have the wife with me I can assure you I'd have walked out with alot more than primers and powder.

What's the difference between selling to a CA. and to a NV.resident?

Well, I asked him for some 20 round M-1A magazines and he asked for my Nevada ID.

Only shop that's ever done that when i didn't buy a firearm.
