True, but even longtime/lifetime friends never get the whole picture.

Which means they get to fill in the blanks with their imagination, and share that with others. I wouldn't have done it.

Alright I will cop out to it. I live in a bad neighborhood run down shack and a tepee out side. No safe No security system. All my guns and ammo are in the shack. So don't come to tepee.
Let's see 5 rounds .22 One box of shotgun shells. 10 rounds of .45 5 rounds of .308

The only thing that doesn't make this tin foil hat worthy is the fact that when you PPT a gun in CA and get a copy of the DROS paperwork it has the other guy's name and address on it.

So be careful who you're selling to.

Some people here think its not a big deal. I remember when I first joined this forum, I got slammed for questioning threads like, "post your collection" and "post a pic of your open safe." The retorts were of the usual macho bravado of, "oh just try something! I'm an internet badass!"
This made me think of a story I heard from my teacher in a corrections class. This officer was approached by an inmate who told him that he wanted dope. The officers wife drove this car of a certain color and she just dropped off the kids at soccer practice who's name was this and that. He also lived on this street and his wife was now at that salon getting her hair done. If the inmate didn't make a certain call, the officers family would be killed. The officer was scares and thought about it not knowing what to do and obviously the threat was real since the inmate knew all this intimate details about his life. He went back, told the inmate he has the dope, take him out of his cell and kills him in hand to hand.
The officer was found not guilty since he felt innocent lives were at risk. The department however fires him after an investigation for conduct. See there was never any real danger to the family, the inmate had nothing but time and just listened. And listened and listened...
Now we are on the internet and on a forum specifically targeted to this region. There are people who are bad guys who have nothing but time. Something to think about.

It seems that I'm not the only one to notice the increasing frequency of threads like:
-How many guns do you own?
                    -Show pictures of your collection
-Where do you hide your guns?

How about, "what hours are you away from your home?" "Do you have a do?" "Do you have a security system?" LOL. I laugh, but I'm sure these questions have been asked before.

I'm not paranoid, just cautious. I know I don't have to reply if I don't like it. You can bet your a** that I don't(a few individual pics aside). Just bringing this to light.
I would find it invasive if 1) I thought the OP was actually serious 2) I could only answer with a truthful response. So far, neither have occurred.
With all this "gun control" talk, I've not heard one politician say how they plan on taking guns from criminals, just law abiding Citizens.

Some of these thread questions are by people who want more info they can apply to themselves or just curious about what others have. Some are just a joke designed to get joke responses.

Either way the reader has the choice to help, ignore or crack a joke. No thread here can force you to relate any info you don't want to.

I would venture most people on here aren't thieves, but one can never tell even with those he knows well, much less strangers online.
Also, anyone can read these forums, not just us (furthermore there is no restriction to sign up).
Plus someone could just search all your posts and piece it together.
