      My advice is to do a basic build until you know what you want. You can always add goodies later, when you have a chance to shoot some.

      I've seen people go overboard, and then regret some of the costs.

      They are fun to build and shoot.

          My noob take on this: ARs are light, can be cheap, customizable as hell, and pretty danged easy to build. For me, that makes them worth it. You can also easily swap uppers to swap calibers.

          If that sounds good to you, try one out. If you're looking for something else, then there's your answer. *shrugs*
