1911 or ?

What type of handgun do you perfer. 1911 or polymer style guns. I like the look and feel of 1911's. Also like the stock trigger pull on 1911 over other handguns. What do you like.

Stock triggers on 1911s are one of the best. If you like it, get it. Try some of the polymer pistols to see if you like em. If not, stick to what you like.

I am a recent 1911 fan -

Depends on what its for - for intensive carry purposes, a polymer frame is better for me- steel frame 1911s are a bit heavy-

i'll never sell my glock 17 nor will I ever sell any 1911 I have or will purchase in the future

I love shooting 1911s. They have the best triggers, an excellent grip design, and are darn accurate.

However, I prefer to use my HK USP45f because it has proven to be far more reliable then my 1911.

If I'm gonna go hunting or going to be in adverse conditions I prefer a polymer gun like my G21sf. Unless I could find me a beat up colt 45 1911. It's not that my 1911's aren't fit for those conditions it's just that my 1911's aren't exactly cheap. I would purposely throw my Glocks in the mud and shoot them afterwords. I would never do that to my 1911's and if I accidentally dropped them I'd be very sad . Hell, I'd rather get scratched myself rather than the finish of my 1911

So true, I would truly cry if I dropped one of prized 1911's. If I am going to be in a senerio where I might scratch one of them, I take my XD-45 with trigger job(pulls at 2.9) to use.
