Can somebody tell me what them smoke trails to the right of that photo, I
have seen this before with other blasts of this nature... nature... hhhahaa,
anyway, what is that, what causes that to happen with this type bomb...?

I used to wonder that exact same thing, turns out they would launch rockets up that would give off those smoke trails so when they would detinate the nuke there would be a visual frame of reference on how the blast was effecting the atmosphere. pretty neat I think.
