When I do shop at WalMart - which is usu when I travel out of area - I'm only there for sodas, milk, film for GF's camera, or ammo, or doggy chew toys for the relatives' dogs. All pretty much domestic stuff.

Even if I wanted to, I don't think I could find WalMart clothes that fit. Asian mfgrs just don't understand what "XXL" really is or how big a 6'5"/250lb guy is. And their electronics is mostly crap low-end stuff anyway.

The Wal-Mart in my area removed the gun cases months ago. No more guns per the department manager. Ammo dosen't seem to be a problem. I just bought 4 boxes of .40 winchester white box for a match this weekend as my reloader is down. good price

Round these parts Wally World stopped selling guns and ammo after the hurricane had everyone scrambling to buy a gun. The local FFLs have been making a killing recently.

My theory is that the complexity of CA gun laws is beyond the comprehension of your average Wal-Mart employee. If an employee is capable of understanding the process, they probably have enough brains to realize they should be getting paid more and move on.
I think I remember reading somewhere that WM had officially given up on selling firearms in CA.

My WalMart in Cerritos USED to sell shotguns, but no more.

WalMart was busted last year I think for selling shotguns without doing a proper background check. Someone with a history of mental disorders was able to purchase from walmart I recall.

I don't have a Walmart in the vicinity, but ACE Hardware and oddly enough, Long's Drug store both sell long guns and ammo in Humboldt county. Lots of ACE store sell guns, but I was surprised to see a chain drug store like Long's selling firearms when I first moved up here.

Well, NorCal (excluding Marin county & Sacremento) does seem to be an entirely different state than the rest of The People's Republic. Maybe splitting the state should be on this November's ballot.
