absolutely true. thats the reason why i started to build my first AR. i purchased my lower, which only ran my about $175 including dros and taxes.

if you have the patience to slowly build an AR, you should get your 1911 and a AR lower at the same time. going that route wont break the bank and will allow you to have both your choices.

AR for sure. I would build an AR since you already have some pistols and a shotgun. Any decent ranges where you live where you could shot more than 50yds? decent AR with cheap scope or irons would make a good plinker on the cheap.

I would look at what ranges you have to direct your choice. if you dont ahve any ranges that allow an AR with some decent range i wouldnt really bother with it and go 1911. but its up to you grass hoppa.
