16, dad taught me w/grandpa's old Marlin ?? .22 bolt gun. First shot, had me hooked. To this day, i've been a gun nut Bought my own .22--Marlin 795--two years later. Used it and a rented Ruger 22/45? To teach my gunshy mom at the local range last year; she wants one now. Passing along the joy I suppose haha

This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we'll be lucky to live through it.

Got my first bb gun when I was 12 for christmas then my birthday was 6 days later and I got my mosberg 410 bolt action. Didn't get to shoot my 410 til I was 18 because of my mom. My parents split so my mom didn't want my dad to do any thing with me. After I turned 18 I got way more interested in guns!

I was 25 or so, I think. My husband and a friend taught me the basics of handgun safety and then put a .357 mag in my hands. Ok, only .38's came out of it for me. They wouldn't let me shoot the magnums, dangit, but that was probably smart of them Shooting a rifle for the first time came about 6 months later and I'm hooked.

Fast forward 15 years. I have not shot anything in 15 years. Hubby gets a .45. We go to the range and he gives me a refresher course on handgun safety and so does the RO. I watch him(hubby) put about 6 mags through it before I screw up the courage to fire it myself. Yikes! I did it and I'm hooked again. I bought myself a rifle about 2 months ago and having a gas with it

So, if you doing the math, I was really 40 when I started to get serious about shooting. I don't think it's a hobby I intend to give up anytime soon

Was at my Great Uncles house. He was a hunter and has a giant Jaguar sinned with the head and claws and everything as his rug. Buck heads everywhere and a basement filled with stuffed game. He had a bunch of double barrels but I only got to play with them and we pretended to go hunting in the living room and shoot all of the already dead animals. But he had a pellet gun which I got to shoot in his backyard when I was 6 and he taught me how to aim and sight and I even killed a few birds that were ****ting in his pool. Never shot a real gun till I turned 18 and bought my AR... kinda embarrassing.

I was a youngster maybe 5 or 6, had a daisy that i carried everywhere, when I could see the the bbs falling out the end, I was handed a remington fieldmaster in .22. I carried that thing everywhere, dove/quail/pig/deer hunting, never fired it, but i felt good with a real rifle in my hand. To clarify never fired it while hunting, but shot plenty of cow pies and such. When I was bout 10 or 11, Dad thought it was time for a real rifle so off to shoot the 30-30 we went. The bang scared the hell out of me and I didn't want anything to do with it. So i opted for the sporterized mauser in .257 roberts. For some reason that was more pleasing to me. Still have the gun and will never part with it. Now I love the 30-30 round and so does my wife. What a sissy I was.
