im going to start making all sorts of steel tragets in all sorts of calibers. this is the first one and it swings. tell what would u guys pay for something like this and some ideas would be nice. this one is for .22lr to 45 acp

Are you sure there won't be some "interesting" ricochet issues, esp. with the target on the right?

the ones on the right are of a softer metal. ran ou of the square. this is made from scrap so just put the round ones on. but i its a start. thanks for the input

Burrow Canyon Gun Club doesn't allow ANY metal down range during fire season. They are on a USFS lease and must strictly comply with fire restrictions. You can't even shoot a coke can during fire season.

I am afraid the your cost to make these would be more than what people would be willing to pay. Great idea, but it may be a bit bulky. Maybe if it where modular so it could be in manageable pieces. I made something similar, what great fun to watch the targets dance.

I think they look great. I don't make targets but it doesn't seem too much added work; maybe rotate the 2 support poles 45 degrees so the edge is facing the shooter. Also, see if you can use round poles to hang down the targets and angle the targets a bit towards the ground. (Right now your targets directly faces the shooter, just weld them facing the ground a bit.)

Now, if you can make it so that it support man-on-man, then you can easily sell them for $200 each (incl shipping). Man-on-man requires some sort of tie breaker mechanism. If you make replacable plates (targets) then you can sell those plate too as they are usually the ones to give out first way befor the frame.

Well I have have my hydrolic pipe bender and a plasma cutter so ill get to wor. Keep the ideas coming. The reason for this is im getting laid off at the end of the year so I want to do something fun that makes money to. That's for the advice

Too heavy to haul around, and not strong enough for repeated 45 acp poundings as the welds will crack.

Build it so that it can be broken down and stored easily. When it comes to steel, less is better. Flat targets are generally better. Try to steer away from that pipe stock. The target steel should be 65 or better rockwell.

I like your ambition. Keep up the good work. BTW nice Ofna bag. That was and still is today the do all bag to have at the races. I used to be a factory support driver for Mugen. 1/8 offroad, buggy and truggy.
