Is anyone's Troy Mod. Combat grip this color?

My buddy bought this troy grip from a vebdor a few months back and I've always wondered why it is so "gold" like. This is suppose to be FDE


I have one also, but it is a flat color and matches my furniture.

Unfortunately due to the mil-spec plating process we use the shade of the
Flat Dark Earth color varies by the different batches that we finish them
in. We have a certain color code that we adhere to and as long as it falls
between that it is considered within spec. Thank you.

Agree. My front HK sight appears to be more "gold" than FDE when in a certain light.
