So if YOU were president of the United States of America, what would be the first gun law you would change?

I'm not looking for a list of things that you would change but the first thing you would change.

For me: All states 'shall issue' with nation-wide reciprocity.

There are many that I would like to change obviously, but for all practical purposes the all states shall issue with nation wide reciprocity as you mentioned is pretty much the most important.

Use my power to enforce self defense rights.

My duty would be to uphold the constitution. Since self defense is a fundamental right I would give states 30 days to change policies so that citizens rights to self defense are respected.

Among my list of items that I would consider violations of people's fundamental rights.

1. Laws prohibiting carry of loaded arms without a license/permit.
2. Undue restrictions, fees and training for CCW permits.
3. Restrictions which limit citizen's choices in arms and accessories.
4. Restrictions that ban access to standard common arms
5. Castle doctrine 50 states.
6. Gun Free Sensitive Zones limited to things like jails, prisons, courts and secure areas of airports only.
