    Latest Natchez Catalog

Anyone else get the most recent Natchez catalog with the red sticky on the cover? It reads to the effect of "starting Feb 2011 Natchez will no longer ship ammunition to CA"

Not just rifle ammo, not "unless you have a C & R/COE" - just no more ammo at all.

I like Natchezss and have used them regularly, but this is no surprise. I've been working under the assumption that I won't be able to buy any ammo of any kind from out of state (unless I bring it back myself) come 2/11.

And this is where I haven't been paying enough attention, apparently.

I was under the impression that the ban on internet ammo sales included all ammo, not just handgun ammo.

            Cool beans.

They're probably just covering their butts. No business wants to be a test case for a poorly written law.

Speaking of such nonsense, how's that challenge to AB962 going?

Hmm.. an *effective* ban is little different than an actual ban in the judicial branch, is it not?

Can the fact that these mail order vendors are not going to ship *any* ammo in direct response to AB962 be used in the court cases to call into question its legality?

                        Great....

Time to order a bunch of .22 target ammo.

That reminds me, I need to start loading up on 5.7x28. I reload, but that's the one caliber I can't find local if I ever run out of brass. Not to mention it's rather finicky to reload for.

                            Cabela's said only "Handgun ammunition".
I believe they will still ship rifle ammo.
They seem to be well informed about the law's specific provisions and exemptions. Also, everyone is trying to make a buck off of fear of the upcoming law, so dont expect to see advertisements proclaiming any silver linings or mention of specific exemptions.

This kind of thing is why the court needs to get up off their rear ends and put in the injunction to AB962 now.

We're already getting distortions in the marketplace due that the bit if illegal dreck.
