I see. So little gems like this:HERE WAS THE CORRECT RESPONSE TO WHAT I POSTED:
The bolded part was ALL that I was trying to accomplish. At NO point did I even remotely insinuate that I AGREED with the views of those who I quoted.
The only "attack" came from Rero, you and J-Cat and I merely responded to your complete lack of understanding. And then you continued attacking. Why are you and J-Cat not banned for personal attacks, baiting, etc.? It is people like you that are absolutely KILLING Calguns.
"Do you even know? I placed those quotes to correct an obvious deficit of knowledge that if displayed to certain unsympathetic audiences/listeners would portray (accurately) the presenter as an ignorant [more accurate description of donkey censored by profanity filter from he11]" is meant to enlighten? It's hypocrites like you who tries to disguise their arrogance and contempt in supposed kind words that are "KILLING" Calguns.Last edited by Mute; 10-06-2010, 1:09 PM.NRA Benefactor Life Member

Really? I attacked you? Maybe a little reading comprehension is in order:
I criticized the content of what you presented as "knowledge". The fact you were offended by my "attack" indicates that you do in fact agree with this content.
Maybe you should be banned for trolling.Last edited by J-cat; 10-06-2010, 9:50 PM.Comment

I used to work there, I quit about a year ago this Septmeber, and I don't remember selling anything vaguely humanoid. It is a county parks rule we were told to enforce, not a personal choice on our part. It has very little to do with being PC. At outdoor rifle ranges like in Monterey where visiblity can be low at times it becomes hard to see people at 100-200 yards posting their targets. When the RSO looks to check if the rage is clear it can get confusing and unsettling to see a human shape down range after you make the anouncment to comence firing. It helps to avoid an embarrassing and potentially dangerous situtation where you have to quickly call a cease fire just to find it was a piece of paper. There is also the issue with shooting the frames. The frames there are metal; they're expensive and take time to cut and weld. It always bothered me that people would show up, pay $10 to shoot, do $15-$20 in damage, and complain about the rules the whole time they're there. It's the only range in town. I understand that's the way it is---but it doesn't make it any less stupid, IMO.
Nope, they do sell a very roughly and vauge humanoid shaped target. It's not to the right proportion. Certainly, it's not for a logical reason. It's for PC-ness.
It's really all bull****. What is so bad in SELF DEFENSE? Is it not a human right?

The Action Pistol Range enjoys the use of any paper target. We can't use our IPSC/IDPA targets @ the Public Range.
But even the LE Training that goes on at the AP Range, uses the "bowling pin" targets, what a joke. PC BSActually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...
I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.
Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.

How about setting up a single sheet, double target, one marked 25 yards, and another 1/4 sized one above it marked 100 yards. It is simply a way to practice closer and longer distance markmanship without having to change targets.

Yet again a fine example of the SHEEPOLE that live in this fine state. Really. We can not shoot at silhouette target that look like people. Next thing we hear we cant shoot at animal targets because PETA gets their panties in a bunch. Not all, but many firearms are purchased under the guise that they will someday preserve the life of yourself and/or your family or at least scare away intruders. Shooting at these targets familiarizes us with firing on a human person if the need arises and better trains us. What should we shoot at? Cardboard squares and circles? That is the most asinine rule I have ever heard. I would think about changing ranges to a more PRO GUN place.

I'm waiting for the 'obama approved' targets... copies of the US Constitution. *sarcasm*With all this "gun control" talk, I've not heard one politician say how they plan on taking guns from criminals, just law abiding Citizens.

In this case, I appreciate the clarification. Thank you for that. I just assume that this was going to be about some PC BS because there is no way a customer is just going to know about things like the Monterey Parks rule.
The roughly-humanoid target I was referring to is sold as the #4 these days.sigpic

Wow, this is amazingly stupid. I own firearms for one reason: protecting myself against bad guys....not bad circles. I train for self-defense and silhouettes is what I like...although, I do dig the Zombie targets and hostage targets my range has-Hurray for Santa Maria and freedom!Comment
