I have a LH AR only 'cause I can. I also have a RH. I grew up shooting RH rifles left-handed and find true lefty rifles a little cumbersome just 'cause I'm so used to RH rifles. Still, I buy LH rifles when available just 'cause..."The lunatic is in the hall.

Because of my neck I cannot shoot on the right side. The other advantage of left side ejection, your brass hits the guy throwing brass at you

My wife has an AR and she's a leftie. I installed an ambi safety lever for her, which she likes, but is really just added comfort and not indispensible.

The triangular hump in front of the forward assist on A2 type uppers IS the brass deflector for lefties. No need to add another.
