    Whats your home defense weapon?

Sorry if this is a dupe and MODS can delete if so but I was just curious as to what you fellow calgunners use to protect your home and family. I know everyone owns tons of guns but whats your weapon of choice for when things go bump in the night? I like to keep my Glock 17 with Streamlight TLR-1S with me everywhere in my apartment. I don't holster it but I like to keep it an arms distance away especially when I'm on my thrown (aka bathroom) cause that's when I'm most vulnerable lol. I keep it loaded with Remington Golden Sabers 124gr. +P only because it's all the gunstore had. I'd like to get some Buffalo Bore +P+ 124gr. (1300fps, 461 energy) ammo whenever I'm not to lazy to order it.
I also keep a Maverick88 loaded with 00 buck handy for just incase.

What do you guys use for home defense? Shotgun, handgun or rifle and what type of load? Pictures are also welcome of course.

In the living room coffee table: Beretta PX4 in .40 cal loaded with 10 rounds of 180gr Winchester Supreme PDX1 pared with the $10 Costco tac light
      Bedside gun: 16" AR-15 loaded with 10 rounds of 55gr Hornady TAP with a Mag-light XL100 mounted
Don't forget the CEWS (Canine Early Warning System) with redundancy.

Halitosis, especially if I've been sleeping. It's like that scene in Dune. Duke Leto's poison breath attack.

I keep a Sig P229R in 40 S&W loaded with Winchester Supreme Elite 165 grain jacketed hollow points readily available when I'm home. I am considering a light and/or light/laser combo for it, but haven't made up my mind whether I want to go down that road. I just picked up a Glock 19 (Gen 3) yesterday, and I suppose it's possible that a stellar performance at the range tomorrow could earn it a place in the lineup...at least as a backup! These threads never get old by the way.

First line of defense is two 70 lbs German Shepherds and an 80 lb Lab.

Second line of defense is a Trap champion wife with a 12 ga pump. (Your only hope is to stand still.)

I don't think I need a third line of defense.

Mine is a 686-plus seven shot .357 (six inch barrel).

That light hanging under the barrel is what the bad guy will be shooting at when he returns fire......if you are aiming it will be aligned with your eye.

Yes, and no. When you come in from the dark, and are hit with a light, it is incredibly difficult to see. I prefer to have a light with my firearm.
That being said, I have a Remington 700 with 3" OO Buck, and a XD 9mm(with nightsights) with Federal Hollowpoints.

Right now, my Glock 27 either holstered or within arms reach. The safe is unlocked when I'm home and my Winchester 1300 20ga is loaded with 5 rounds of #3 buck with a pistol grip.
