Holy smokes! I bet thats intimidating like hell to hear someone start up a chainsaw during a home invasion. I doubt theyll ever come back to your house considering theyll think youre insane.

I like to keep my 14" Chainsaw as a back-up for the 'close quarters' work. It's a little messy, but I do not worry about follow-up shots. Gas engine still works if the BG cuts the electricity at the box.
If they get past the Dog and the chainsaw, my Ruger Revolver should terminate the threat.

A WWII katana sword my grandfather brought back from Quagland. I cut my son's umbilical cord with it, so it has been bled once by me already.

It looks a lot like this:

You take a gun with you to the bathroom in your own home?!?!?!?

Am I the only one who finds this surprising?

Maybe my sheltered, suburban life has made me soft, but I've never felt the need to be armed when pinching a loaf, regardless of where I am.

Seriously dude, we think that you put on a fake beard, or maybe even grow it instantly, and make Dos Equis commercials. Of course, it makes no sense for you to be making commercials for Dos Equis.

German Shepherd/Boxer, OC Spray/Bat by the door, and USP.40 w/ night sights and TLR-3 w/ lots of mags.

For some reason, I don't think of my Hawk 982 as my first go to weapon of choice. It seems too bulky, and because I don't have a gun safe, I usually don't even bother keeping it loaded.

I hide loaded mags around my place so I can load my HK practically anywhere.

Couple of 1911's and a Glock 34 with 17 round mag outside the safe. And a Garand in a closet with a clip on top of the safe. Everything else is locked up. The handguns are up high where my 2 year old can't get to, even with a chair. Couple of dogs and an alarm system for some warning.

I keep my sliding door open becuase we have no AC so I need the airflow. Someone could hop the fence when Im doing my dirty business or taking a shower and if I didnt have it with me id be screwed. I dont know what the odds are of me getting robbed with my pants down or showering but I'm not gonna take that chance. Id rather be prepared then bleeding to death on the toilet/shower from gunshot wounds because I decided to leave my gun in another room

Ever since I saw a news video of some BG breaking into a guy's house while he was droppin' a deuce I either stash something in the poo room or bring something with me. If you think about it, on the john is when you are your most vulnerable; pants around your ankles and nothing to guard you except a smelly smokescreen.

My teenage daughter goes to her friend's house often. The Dad is a Sargent for a neighboring PD. He takes his duty weapon all over the house with him, including the bathroom. My daughter has seen this. Luckily, I taught my daughter how to safely handle and respect guns, not fear them. Her only conclusion is that she has at least one friend who has a father crazier than hers ;-).

Youre extremely vulnerable when youre butt naked in the shower too especially if you wear glasses like me. Nothing like getting robbed with a blurred vision and shampoo in your hair. You gonna hop out of the shower with your dinga-ling dangling running to grab your gun? I dont think so it'll be too late. You won't even make it out of the shower if they break in. For me, all I gotta do is slide my shower door open a few inches stick my hand out and grab my gun which is 1ft away. It's hidden by candles too so he wont know what im reaching for.
