    Dragunov style rifle vs Polytec M14

    So lately ive been noticing these Dragunov style rifles. Thinking of selling my M14 to get one of those. Worth it or no? I can always save up. part of the reason is I can still use the Drag for hunting and the ammo is way cheaper than 308 ammo.
    What do you guys think?

    Save up, Dragunov/PSLs arent all that expensive. I couldnt imagine my collection without my M1a. If you think youll just end up buying another m14 later then keep the one you have.

      Keep the polytec. Save up for the Dragunov.

            I wouldn't trade my M1A for 3 PSLs.

              The Polytech M14 is more accurate than the Dragunov style (Romanian PSL) rifles.

              Unless you are buying an actual Dragunov, keep the M14.

              There are better hunting loads for 7.62x51mm/.308 than there are for 7.62x54mmR.

                  Don't trade off the M14 for a PSL. ROMAK-3 PSLs are not Dragunov rifles. They might kind of look similar, but they are very much so different.

                  Now, if you could trade your M14 for an actual Dragunov SVD, I'd say go for it!

                    PSL=$600-700

                    Dragunov=$2000+

                    Not even remotely close. And Dragunovs are expensive because of their rarity, not because they are particularly fantastic guns.

                      OK well that answers my question thanx guys. The 14 stays. Now to get to saving I thought PSL/Drags were sniper rifles and had some accuracy.

                        Your Polytech is better than current Springfield Armory guns...

                        ...keep her. As others have posted, PSL's are a dime a dozen.

                        If you must have a PSL, keep the M14 and start saving.

                            i really like dragunovs.... i dont own one but have shot them a couple times and would really like one in my collection.

                            that being said i would never give up a m1a for one.

                              If I'm not mistaken they are supposed to be better with some of the specially made Russian cartridges. Im sure someone on here knows the specifics about that.
