    Plano rifle cases

    Hi everyone,
I received my new rifle and I'm looking for a big rifle case for transporting. I have seen some of those plastic Plano rifle cases and was wondering if anyone has an experience with them. Are they tough and do they last? Are they sturdy enough to hold a 26 lb rifle? Do they keep out water when it rains? Thanks for any input.

26 pounds? what are you lugging around, a rifle made of lead?

Seriously though, I would love to know what the rifle is

Sorry, that was a typo. The rifle weighs 27 pounds. Here's a picture, I hope it comes through.

I would avoid the plastic Plano cases for the application you have in mind. One of their aluminum cases might be more suited for your Barrett.

Personally, I would recommend going with a Pelican case. But then, I am also slightly biased towards their products due to my military background and using their stuff almost exclusively.

The 1750 series should handle up to a 50" firearm.

Or you could look into the SPC-1759GC, which should handle a firerarm up to 48".

I am sure there are other options, but this is just my .02 worth for you.
