The no-paper transfer is *only* applicable to rifles over 50 years old.
You can avoid the waiting period on handguns that are C&R eligible if you have BOTH a C&R license and a COE permit.
now if you buy the C&R handgun out of state, all you need is a C&R license- then fil out a form and pay $19 upon returning here to register it to you.
That basically sums it all up.
Anything pre-1898 is fair game for cash and carry in this state too. Other states such as AZ, NV, have pay-and-go for PPT transfers, but not CA.
