OP, don't you think it's dangerous to let an orangutan play with guns?
Cokebottle already nailed it. This has been discussed on this forum for many years. If you do not agree with it, that's fine. Personally, I do not choose to use the detachable SKS mags that I own while in Ca. or anywhere else. IO prefer the OEM mags instead. Your logic is exactly the logic the lawmakers used when they made catagory two AWs. There logic did not hold up in court. So, if your rifle does not have "SKS" marked on it, it is legal to use detachable magazines in it. OF course, you still need to follow federal laws like 922(r).

Whoa there. I'm not arguing, just asking for a clarification. I was confused because the only true SKS would be a Soviet one. Thanks for clearing that up.

Parts count is different for different guns.
The AK happens to be 16 total, but the Saiga is only 14 since it lacks a muzzle device and pistol grip (if those are installed, then they count toward the total).

The SKS also lacks a pistol grip and muzzle device, and it may be lacking other parts. The only issue is no more than 10 imported parts... if the gun has only 10 counted parts, then it's GTG out of the box.

The combination of The Gun Wiki to our system is not only in line with what we are working on, but will also serve as a means in which to build upon our ongoing projects.

Factory, the Yugo has 15 counted parts, others have 14 (muzzle device).
It can be made compliant without touching the mags.
Tapco furniture is an easy 2 parts.
