I didn't know Military Personnel stationed in CA can get a permit for AWs after the deadline. But the same CA legality restrictions applies right? So pretty much a skeleton style or Dragunov stock would be considered an evil feature installed on a Saiga and a bullet button would be needed along with other features just to have it CA legal. I also didn't know about the Monsterman Grip till you guys posted those pics. That flow chart was also really helpful. Having the Monsterman grip without a bullet button is a cool feature, I think it totally change the overall original looks of the rifle(s), but none the less either that or install the bullet button. I guess it's a matter of preferences. How does the feel of rifle with the Monsterman grip goes as far firing the weapon? A 10 round mag is still needed though right? How much do yall think does "the authorities" know about all the CA legal regulations and features for a rifle to be a legal weapon in CA? Were any of you guys ever confronted by the law even with all these CA legal features for whatever reasons? Any ways sorry guys for asking so many questions, but if you guys don't mind I would really appreciate it.

Might want to read Harrot Vs. County of Kings.
Here is a similar link to yours.
      http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...ghlight=harrot.

Then save and print the Flowchart. Then be able to articulate why the Saiga is legal to someone you may encounter which is less likely these days thanks in no small part to this site and the people involved too numerous to name.

here is another primer for your research and articulation skills.

      Also a member here.

So buy your Saiga and enjoy.

Active duty military with orders for CA can get a Military Assault Weapons Permit (MAWP).
The MAWP allows them to bring any "assault weapons" they own to CA.
The MAWP does not allow them to purchase/import "assault weapons", just import in the ones they already own.
The MAWP is only valid as long as they are on active duty and have orders for CA.
There are no state imposed feature restrictions for the "assault weapons" listed on a MAWP.

Ooh thanks again fellas, I hope my questions weren't irritating anyone. With all the intel yall been informing with, it has lifted many of my doubts away. Now I just need to look more for dealers and acquire a budget.

Better to ask questions here than explain it later in court.

In stock form, they are plenty legal out of the box. If you plan to convert it, it opens up a whole new realm.

Alright, thanks again yall. I think I have a better idea now on what I want to get and most of my questions had been answered already. I just have one more thing to ask. Does anyone know any gun shop that is selling the .223s on or near the LA area, or if anybody is trying to sell theirs? I've been trying to look around and the stores I've searched only sells the 7.62, I am still searching but with very little luck.
