Of course it is CA compliant. I'm all for supporting local FFL's, but I'm also not made of money so if I can get a much better deal online, I go for it. To save 100 or less, I'd probably just go with local dealer to save hassle.Does DD's send it Cali compliant? If not tack on double shipping plus middle man and mag lock.
Yep, when NOBODY WAS WILLING TO LAY THEIR BALLS ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK ONE GUY DID. FEDUPWBS was the first to do a lot of things AK in California, too many forget that though.
Let's not forget the few online retailers who are willing to support us in CA. DDs Ranch is one of them, and they have been around for quite a while now. Everyone complains about different shops who are not willing to deal with CA, but then people complain when you don't use a local gun shop.. Hmm.Comment

This isn't directed at PRK, I'm not even familiar with that shop.. BUT just because gun shops have "employees with families" it doesn't mean they are free to charge whatever they want and expect potential buyers to just fork over the money. I know of a gun shop or two around here that charge outrageous prices, and I'll never buy there.. I'm sorry if I'm not feeding their families, but I just won't pay those prices.. Once again, not directed at PRK.There you go folks. Everybody wants to nickle and dime and buy online. When in reality they short dick themselves on the value of their time. It takes how many hours of reserch to save that 20$ for an online purchase?
Mean while these FFL's who someone is crying about is employing people with families. People who have a vested intrest in CA gunlaws.
One more thing, and I'm not trying to split hairs here, but it doesn't take "hours" to research this stuff. More like minutes, especially if you already have a local go to FFL(which the OP does not.) And the savings we are talking about here are closer to 100, not 20. IF they were only 20, there would be no question on where to buy.Last edited by cgseanp1; 06-20-2010, 2:56 PM.Comment

Thank you cgseanp1. I bet these shops make alot more money than alot of us, we got family also, that doesnt mean we have to bend over for them just because they provide a certain product or service. Everyone is looking for the best price for something, thats all im doing. Yeah, we support them, doesnt mean they should stick it to us. People talking about nickels and dimes, do you all have a few nickels and dimes so i can support my local gun store? Its just chump change, right?
If Peachstate can sell and ship with a BB installed for say 500, how much do you think these stores are buying them for?
And to sell them for 699 + tax and dros. Thats alot of nickels and dimes. Im not trying to knock our stores, lord knows ive spent thousands at them for over 40 guns, but were just trying to save a few, just like they are trying to make a few. Give us a break, we support them.Last edited by skscj; 06-20-2010, 3:28 PM.Comment

Im not saying not to buy online, but it simply costs MORE money to do business in california. its a simple fact. . Peach state for all i know has a monthly overhead of 10 000$ while XYZ has a monthly overhead of 20 000$. The wholesale price may be the same but I doubt it. There is probably a price break somewhere. One shop may order 100 of them so they get a better price than a shop that orders 7 of them a month. lets face it Saigas are popular but theire not that popular.Thank you cgseanp1. Either way I dont have a problem with saving money. Funny thing is if something is wrong or there is a problem dealing with someone 3000 miles away is a lot harder than dealing with someone 20 minutes away. Sometimes buying local is worth the extra money spent. hell Im surprised FFLs havent raised their out of state transfer fees.
People want both low low prices AND the best customer service possible all the while being treated like a king walking in a gun store. personally I think Peach state guns are selling saigas for too low a priceComment

The reason some of the out of State FFLs can sell so cheap is because of low operating cost. My dealer in Houston is home based and gives me pretty much wholesale pricing.
A California FFL most often has to operate in a commercial building. From what I've found in my research, many Counties/Cities will not allow a home based FFL. Therefore they'd be operating with much higher overhead.
While I'm not saying; "Don't buy online", people should consider supporting the California FFLs that are good. If you don't keep California FFLs in business you won't be able to buy online because you'll have no FFL near you to transfer.Comment
