My Glock 26 doesn't leave arms reach. I've had much more unpleasant and foreboding run-ins with two legged problems approaching our camp. My other camp gun is my FN SLP 18", but I'm a gun nut so of course I mix it up.

like scobun my primary safety concern regarding predators would be the two legged variety; handgun would be P220 .45 ACP and long gun would be 870P for high altitude-cold weather camping.

For a long gun, you think a Marlin 45-70 Guide is overkill for camping within California? Im not planning on doing any camping in grizzly country anytime soon but I do like the idea of having the power to stop one if i had to.

Usually this and a 1853 Springfield.

Actually, I don't own a cannon, but there's usually a few near by.

I wear my 6" GP-100 at all times and then I'll have a long gun where I can get at it. I also like to have another pistol near at hand but out of sight.
