    being treated unfairly?

so on May 6th i took my saiga into a gunstore/smith to get it converted to pistol grip format, new stock and BB. they said "ok we will call you when the gun is finished and it should take 4-6 weeks." i said sure, shook their hand and went on my way. some time passed and i hadn't received any news so about 3 weeks ago i decided to call and check up on the status. the guy answers, asks me to refresh his memory on who i am, and tells me it will be some more time until i can pick up my gun. he says be patient, my tag is near the top and to call in a few days. a few days pass and i call, and again he asks me to refresh his memory and again i get the same response of "please call in a few days." to make a long story short, i have called 6 times, sent two emails, it is now getting close to week 8 and i still don't have my gun. the last time i called (yesterday june 15), they tried telling me that "my gun had only been in their shop for 2 or 3 weeks at most and i had about 4 more weeks to wait and to come back on saturday (June 19)." this of course sent me into a slight fury which ended in a click of the phone.

what do i do?? im honestly concerned at this point due to the lack of communication on their part, the lack of customer service in general. both emails i sent them have gone unanswered and i feel like if i keep hassling them with calls then they may take some "shortcuts" while building my gun, creating a poor quality weapon (kind of like irritating the people who make your food and then they spit in it).

any advice will be greatly appreciated because i am at a loss for my next plan of actions

take it back. and choose another shop.

you didn't pay anything right, and since it sounds like they haven't done anything either, no party is out money.

walk in there, pick up your gun and find another joint. Sounds like they are full of lame excuses. Do you have a receipt ?

It would have been better to not pay them upfront. Now they probably have sold your Mossberg, and will try to weasel out of paying you what it was worth.

Bummer man, next time find a shop with a good reputation and who happens to be well versed in that pattern of firearm.
There are 3 kinds of people in this world.
The wise, learn from the mistakes of others.
The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

                call for a manager/owner's name(size of shop?)
                ask to speak to him(her)
                make arrangement to meet
meet him(her) calmly, try to discuss it privately so not to offend the counter staff..
remind them you have "paid" in advance and your services should come before other unpaid work in order to meet the delivery promised you.

or simply toss a frag in the door and write it off..

                good luck to you..

i would advise you speak to the one that occupies the position of shop owner and try to work it from there.

Wait, in order to pay for this you gave them a mossberg? was it in horrible condition? Sounds like a lot for a simple mod.

I see you are from Sacramento, Can you specify which shop it is? I want to make sure I don't make the same mistake. Thanks in advance.
