as i told another member over PM, this is not something that will be going down to on target, or out for an open carry event. obviously it takes a lot of explaining and so it will be used in a discrete setting - i.e. out in the desert. i have no intention of shoving this in the face of any LEO no matter how confident I am in its legality. we all remember what happened when one found my bullet buttoned AR!

I think you should call it Betsy. Does Any Other person want to guess what this Weapon is?

Well when I say virgin I mean never been through the DROS process. Although since you are not building a pistol it may not really matter except the fact it was marked as a 'long gun' see below. (Yes, I know I am comparing federal and state levels here)

I do not like using the term 'long gun'. On the 4473 under the term longgun it lists (rifle or shotgun) so I worry using the term long gun means it has to be either a rifle or a shotgun. A mossberg cruiser is an 'other' not a long gun according to the directions on the 4473. Section B, Question 18.

                I prefer Title 1 other.

If you bought it as a stripped receiver it should have been marked 'other' on the 4473.

I think the safest way to do this is from an 80% that you finish yourself.

It would be fine going through a 4473 as an other. Just would prefer it never touched a DROS so CA could not claim something funny.

Do AOWs have to comply with the silly 10 round limit, like centerfire AWs? If not, then I sense a 100rd Beta mag coming!

Only semiautomatic centerfire rifles and semiautomatic pistols with fixed magazines are limited to the 10 round AW restriction.

If the AOW has a barrel less then 16" it would a pistol and would need to comply with pistol AW regs.

Well I have 3 80% lowers sitting here waiting to be done at some point in time. So I can take one of them and build my very own Title 1 for myself? Thanks
