Ouch. I had a casing lodge itself between the rolled sleeve of my shirt and my arm. I didn't enjoy it, especially since for some stupid reason I decided to finish the mag before taking care of it. That was the one time I was grateful for the small-cap mags we have here.

That also happened to me before but on my neck. I had some explaining to do when I came home to my girlfriend.Last edited by teflondog; 05-28-2010, 1:51 PM.Originally posted by G. Each time I've introduced new people to the range, I ask them one simple question:
"Have you seen Black Hawk Down?"
Each time I've gotten a 'yes' (probably because I hang out with like-minded people) so I continue with:
"Remember the scene where Josh Hartnett is below the Black Hawk, and the gunner is firing the minigun against the rooftop Somalis and spent casings are raining down? And Josh has one fall down his BDU and go "OW OW OW F*CK OW" (usually accompanied by me pantomiming)? That can happen here. Close your clothes up wherever possible and if it happens, don't freak out."
I've had casings smack me in the face and arms, never long enough to burn me. Usually I feel the force more than the heat. Only one time came close enough when I had a casing stick between my glasses and my face, but I reacted fast enough to get it out."Ok, sign language 101. This means stay low, this means stack up, and this means I'm gonna punch your lights out if you don't shut up!"Comment
