This was so weird I had to share it.
I'm sure most of us have done the 'hot brass boogie', where hot brass is ejected up and into your collar, down your back, etc.. I've had it happen many times myself. I've even completed a course of fire during a steel match with a piece of .40 brass jammed between my brow and glasses (only took a few times to get me to wear a closed collar shirt and cap, even at indoor ranges!).
Went out for a practice session yesterday, after 100 or so rds I got that old "ouch that's hot" sensation again...this time on my chin. OK, no big deal...except the dang .45 case STUCK to my chin. I pulled it off and it took some skin with it...
Got home and (almost) forgot about it...but here's what greeted me in the mirror today... if you look close you can see the primer/case gap...
