All of those Central and South American countries that allow firearms ownership restrict the use of military calibers. That leaves very few cartridges, if you think about it. That's why .38 Super is still so popular in some countries.
When you see pictures of young Isreali's and Swiss carrying AW's in public, it's not because they are allowed to, it's because they have to. After their service is up, the guns stay at home.

Does Israel allow its citizens to own M16s?

This is from memory, so forgive me if I'm incorrect.

Probably the UK. (England, Scotland, Wales, N. Ireland)

Handguns completely banned. I think even the Olympic team has to train out of the country. (Reaction to the Dunblaine massacre, look it up)

Firearms license for long guns (no semi auto's) at the discretion of the local police, although they have to have a good reason to refuse. Likewise, you still need a good reason to have one.

Not sure about magazine capacity, but I expect a Lee Enfield is OK, so 10 must be the max.

It's a very very overbearing state, and a monarchy, which is why I left.
Long live the revolution. Thank you for having me.

NO. Only IDF Guard ect. Not your everyday citizen

Philippines has a very good gun laws. You can pretty much own anything, full auto, SBR's and anything you can get your hands to. as long as you can afford it or knowing a high ranking official is a plus too. You can go to any local police precint and apply for carry, concealed or open. Funny thing is Philippine laws are basically derive from U.S. constitution. Only time restrictions are high is during election to avoid intimidation among political rivals. Politics is huge back in PI. a mayor in a small town usually have their own private armies armed to the teeth.
