So I get my package from Midways USA today and low and behold...

There are nothing but books inside My roommate received the package today while I'm at work from UPS. Check the tracking number online, sent from Midways and arrives in San Pablo, then Sunnyvale, then to my house. Package confirmed delivered and description states left with woman. Midway's phone customer service and my local UPS station are closed already. I have already sent an email to both Midways customer service department and UPS fraud department. $200 worth of product gone. The box looks a little rough, but not uncommon for some of the past products I've received. Packaging label looks untampered with also, although a lot of packing tape. Funny thing is, there is a Midways catalog inside and those inflated packaging material baggies. Then about 6 books that look like their from Oprah's book club. Lookd through the books to see if there are any names or clues written inside any of them. No luck This really pisses me off These parts were for my AR build. What else should I do? Any suggestions?

are you sure your roommate isnt playing a joke on you? If not, i'm sorry to hear about that. Pretty Crappy.

And PS~ its not an AR 'build', but rather an assembly.

    Sorry about your bad luck

Damn, that sucks! All you can do is hope that UPS and Midway agree to send you out another package to replace the parts that were stolen or swapped out at Midway for your parts

They will take care of you, and it may take a bit of footwork. I've had some stuff "missing" out of a few of my orders as well(not $200.00 worth, though) and they sent me some new items. Sounds like delivery(UPS????) fraud to me though.
I had 500 rounds of PMC .223 ammo on order, the UPS guy rang the door bell and ran back to the truck and was getting ready to leave when I yelled at him to stop, he had my package and it was open, I questioned him about it, and he said "It just busted open when I picked it up in the back of the truck". It did have ORM-D small arms ammo stickers on it also. I signed and checked the contents and it was all there, lucky me.

That sucks. Hope ups takes care of it. Those bastards stole an entire rifle kit from my box a few years back.

At this point I just hope I get something. Man, it was Daniel Defense Rail. I've been wanting that damn thing and now this... My boy says it was probably San Pablo, he works for UPS. A lot of theft there I guess. Oh well... There's probably someone in Richmond trying to stick that thing on there shotty right now.

Midways always tacks on insurance for their orders, so hopefully we can get this resolved. Just sucks that it had to happen.

Read the entire content of all books to help determine clues.

the $650 rifle kit I bought that went missing was at the San Pablo hub. I also have two neighbors who are both felons that work at UPS and claim to steal stuff regularly.

I do believe they were both fired recently though. As they've been hanging out on the street for a few weeks now, not going to work.

UPS automatically insures the first $100 and most merchants insure the rest. Contact Midway, then if they can't do anything, file a claim with UPS. If necessary, call your credit card company and prepare a chargeback.

You shouldn't have a problem getting this fixed, IMO.
