I like that store and will shop there. I have always been treated with respect and great customer service in all of my encounters with them. They have a wide selection of products that alot of other shops don't/won't carry. I'm sorry you had a bad experience but I would and will do reccomend them to anyone who is looking for rifles and rifle products.

Yeah, I got gouged by them once a few years back and have always steered clear of them ever since. I do get pretty good service from the guys at Riflegear though, and they seem to make a living out of it without the gouge rates that Coldwar charges.

I bought a problematic wasr 10 from them. I took it in to the store cause of bolt sticking and mag locking issues. They sort of fixed the lock but i still had sticking and ejection problems. I cant be going back cause it not taken care of its an hour away from me. But im still working the kinks out . Im going to try it out featuresless with my oem mags. Im practically an ak gunsmith by now. I pmmed PIRATE for OLL prices they never responded so i called the store and got some quotes which are higher than what the website says and more if you pay with your debit or credit card. Then have more hidden charges then a damn used car dealership. Ive also noticed how they treat there customers. One of their workers was helping a guy wanting a handgun. Obviously he didnt know much cause he didnt know what he wanted and just wanted to check them out.Should of been an easy sale with an inexperience new buyer but they were pretty rude with him. He ended up leaving.
But im glad they didnt respond to my pmms i found a ffl calgunner in Wildomar that will do the transfers and dros fee for a total of $65 and 10 for ea. additional oll. check out

How do you get gouged when you decided to buy from them? You can make the choice whether or not to pay for their asking price.

Realize that Mr. Hawk was upset....an yes those Hi-PWR mags were purchased but they were 10rds so, that won't do....I will make good on those mags if he chooses to throw them away that will be up to him.

Now Since I was out shootin w/ my KCAL friends....I was out yesterday...

We did have two batches of SAIGA 12 LOX that were not machined properly and we have about 20 SAIGAs on hand....so, that's why we were backed up on SAIGA 12 deliveries...out of my hands but the machine shop has been replaced.

I had a reasonable conversation with the actual customer this morning and we have worked things out. He will be compensated for his time lost on this purchase.

How much do they charge for tranfer and dros is it cheaper. Im in San Jacinto Riverside area about 20min away from Wildomar. You think that OLL is ok for my first build.

I remember something a few years back hector said something along the lines that its his fighter pilot mentality and he doesnt care. someone else will step up with the money. I had bad experiences with hector when I bought out of his house. Same thing, he sold me and dros'd lowers that he didnt have. When I had the issue with nothing on pick up day, he acted pissed like i was desturbing his TV time. Funny too because before my pick up time, I brought several customers because back then it was one of the few spots to get lowers in the inland empire and when i mentioned my experience here on calguns back then, i got chewed out for bashing a "reputable" gun store. About a year back I went into his shop and one of his employees were telling a customer that they would have to pay sales tax, DROS, lock and a special "gun tax" on top of the price of the AR he was holding. I just walked out.
I live in the inland empire and if I need something small and cheap, I will still drive all the way to OC to rifle gear
