Well, my only rifle is my Mosin 91/30. So, I guess that would have to do. A bit long, bulky, and heavy, but I guess it would work.
Though I'm liking the AK74 more and more, and looking to pick one up soon.Comment

What kind of Scenario? Earthquake? Forced Evacuation due to a major Terrorist thread like a dirty bomb? What? I have plenty of time in any reasonable real world scenario to prepare.
So, using that premise. I will first shelter in place making this idiotic thread pointless. If and only if actually had to do this, I would take my scout scoped Garand with a 03 as back up. My wife takes the M1 Carbine with the red dot sight. Plus shotguns for each of us and handguns to boot...

The FAL, but only because when I run out of ammo, twist my ankle or get shot in the chaos, I can use it for a sturdy crutch, hammer, tent pole, oar, fishing pole, tactical entry device, etc.Comment
