I just got off 2 day a week furlough for the last 6 weeks, so looking up but it will be a while before I can afford anything other than the gp100 I'm waiting on. I suspect a lot of other people are in a similer situation.

Personally, I don't think the recession is behind us, as we are being told.

Some of the items, such as one I am selling, take a specific type buyer. But, I do think the economy is, and has taken a toll on peoples spending wants, and desires. I think more people are spending on being prepared for emergency situations, and saving.

No, the housing market is still in the tank, Gas is still $3 bucks a gallon. This economy is not getting better anytime soon.. If they bring prop 13 down expect it to get extremely bad.

Paying off debt, and preparing just in case it does get worse.
Still buying ammo, though, just not as much.

They only say its getting better because the unemployment rates are down but that report only shows those who are currently collecting benefits. It doesnt show those who have already exhausted all of their benefits and are still not working or those who are self employed and not working. Right now, Californias unemployment rate is 1 in 10 are out of work.
