    I'm no longer a .50 virgin

I FINALLY got my chance to shoot a .510. . . OMG. It was wonderful. I could not have been more thrilled.

50's have come down dramatically since when I first got into them. Back then, the absolute cheapest ones were 3-4Ks. Add another 1K for a scope and you were talking big bucks. But on the flip side, ammo was alot cheaper then.

1K???. I don't' think so. Rings and bases are $300. The scope on my .308 is $2400 new (didn't buy it). the one I'd put on a.50 (or the eventual .338 lapua I will ONE day own) would be around the same maybe more.

Shop around more. Really nice glass out there for far less than $2400! Of course, if its what YOU want, don't listen to anyone else!

You're still a virgin until you shoot a 50 beowolf upper on an AR reciever.

And I had the blood to prove it. Scope cracked me right between the eyes. Even with the stock filled with lead and a bipod mounted. Still hit the steel and can't wait to shoot it again!

nah, compared to a .50DTC/.50BMG, shooting a beawolf is like masturbating

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

I think you might want to look into what folks are putting on their 50's. Most systems in the $300 range will not last more then a few rounds.

I run a DTC...with quite a few rounds through it an no issues. Granted, I DO want to do some upgrading, but for a non-competition gun my 500 bucks worth of stuff is working just fine!

Glad I don't clean that rifle.
I've fired all 3. The DTC and BMG have very little recoil due to their excessive weight. Try a 50 cal in a 7 lb. rifle sometime. I've found the recoil is twice that of a Barrett.
