i had the sw40ve and like others the trigger was pretty bad. i found that the gun was no fun and i usually chose my other guns over it at the range so it just satt in the safe unused. so i sold it before i had the chance to try the trigger job. i didnt find it ugly though just didnt like the trigger. also just my personal preference but i dont like the 2 tone that it comes in. would do the job though as a HD gun.

but id just save up and buy a used glock on here for about the same price as a new sigma. or even one of those ruger sr9c =) again just my opinion.

I have had a Sigma 40 cal. since they came out, I had one problem with the front sight and it was sent back to S&W for repairs, since I had the gun for a few years before the problem with the front sight, when it was at S&W they went through the gun and upgraded and did it for free. I like the gun it shoots great, may not look great, but I like the feel to it. And yes I do prefer S&W handguns.

Spend a little more and get an S&W M&P, Glock, HK, or Sig. You'll be much happier you did and won't have to be worrying about selling your Sigma later like I did. If your looking to buy online there are tons of used Glocks out there that can be had for good prices.

This site always has good deals and gets stuff in all the time.

I have an SW9G and it works great. Equal or superior to a Glock.

I have one and in an emergency, the trigger pull wouldn't even be noticed. You pull the trigger, it goes bang, hole in target. End of conversation.

If you money is an issue and this will be the one and the ONLY gun you will ever own, then the Sigma is fine. For a little bit more money, there are much more better options out there. Why buy this gun and then waste money and time later to sell it to purchase another gun. Glock, M&P, FNP, Sig, XD, etc....
