Anyone know how the Big5 59/66s have the grenade launcher issue fixed? Cut off or sleeved?

$150 is a pretty darn good deal. Maybe they will carry 59s next, I'd really be interested then.

Shrek said they have muzzle breaks. Any way I just got back from the Big 5 in Lancaster. I did not see any SKS rifles and the only milsurp I saw in their ad was the MN M44 for $75.

Well that figures. I knew it sounded too good to be true.

Yep, only the out-of-state Big 5s sell SKS's. Pity, really.

Sportsmen's Supply in Campbell gets Yugos in regularly for $180 - some are in very good condition, and some less so.

Chinese tend to go for $250 and up, and all the Russians I've seen this year have been in the $350 and up range(!).

The Yugos are almost always covered in cosmo, and it takes some time and effort to clean them up. I'd personally pay an extra $40 for a clean Chinese over a cosmo's Yugo, but that's just me...

I don't believe they're C&R eligible in the state unless they're OVER 50 years old. SKS's are on the C&R list BUT I believe in CA it also has to be at least 50 years old for it to qualify in state along with not being an assault weapon.
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

                  Exactly right.

That Turners M59 is a photoshopped image, the M59 doesn't have the grenade launcher ladder sight, nor does it have the grenade-launcher-looking muzzle

I work at Big 5, and all we've got is semi-auto .22s like the 10/22 and Remi 597. No SKSs. There's Enfields, Schmidt-Rubins, and various Mosins and Mausers.

Exactly wrong. This is a common misconception. If it is not over 50 years old then it cannot be shipped to an 03 FFL but it is still C&R. If you have a C&R and a COE you can walk into a store, pay for it, DROS it, and take it home the same day.
