Do a search for my writeup on Berdoo Canyon.

Places there where you could shoot a freakin' howitzer.

Go to your local BLM office. There is one in Bakersfield... or buy their maps and have them shipped to you. Most BLM plots are 1 square mile.... a sqare mile is 1760 square yards which makes the diagonal through the center 2489 yards...

Maybe he is concerned about down-range casualties... It is responsible shooting.

This. If you have a truck you can get into some places with plenty of room. Just don't shoot over the "road."

If I ever head out there to just shoot again, sure. My next trip out there is next weekend but I am coyote hunting.

What about like private land? Cant I just ask someone that has a lot of acres if I can shoot bolt action rifles on their land and pay them for it if need be?

What is crazy for me is the thought that you guys are willing to drive all the way here to shoot some wild dogs... yet I cannot even get my buddies to go hunting for food and we live here!
