Glocks are simple to clean and shoot. I suggest you go hang out over at Glocktalk.com and poke around.
I shoot canned heat from Georgia arms at the range. I buy 1k at a time to save money. Winchester white box at Walmart is Good for the range as well. For home protection I would go with some Speer Gold dots.
