At chabot the RO has a birds eye view of the rifle/pistol range. During cease fire/changing target breaks they keep things strict..anyone not checking/changing target stays behind the red safety line. Yea I know it's strict but after reading some of these post I'm glad it's like that. I've never experienced a problem at chabot.

Angeles... pffft. This is exactly what I referred to in another thread. The RO's let these Salvatrucha Zerohead POS's do whatever they want because they are scared of them.

Then they get an attitude with you because you don't appear as tough as the aforementioned. They take it out on the rest of us.

There are theives amongst us. Just because it's a shooting range doesn't mean you should relax your guard. Before the San Gabriel Valley Gun Club shut down, a couple of guys had their fully built and tricked out OLL AR's snatched off the bench while they were both down range during a line break. A car drove up, one man jumped out, stole both AR's, jumped back into the car, and they drove off.

That is ****ing disgusting. People like that need to be punched in the teeth.

I used to go to Pidgeon Ridge (the next canyon over) years ago, but, it was shut down due to people like this.

I went to Pigeon Ridge once when I was a teenager, and it was like Dodge City. Beer drinking paisas and weedhound cholos shooting one handed in all directions, letting their kids pop off .22's at any and everything without supervision. No RO's, no ceasefire, no rules at all.

It was good exercise humping up that hill with all your trash though.

The people you say we are scared of are the people we watch and restrict the most. We dont take **** from gangbangers or anyone no matter what they look like or act like. Just find another range for you to shoot at and problem solved for everyone.

We try to keep all our shooters safe as well as there property it is very unfortunate that something was stolen and i hope it was just a case of mistaken gear. Please check back incase it was turned in and ask for Paula

I know this sounds a little paranoid but when we go to Orosco Ridge for an outdoor shooting session, I have my wife stay up range with a loaded rifle at all times during the cease-fire. Just in case. It's sad that you need to watch your back like that now days.

I would not accept that if I was shooting there. Heck, I do not allow people I know with loaded weapons up range from me during a cease-fire. Why would I want somebody's wife I do not know with one?

Last thing I need is to get shot from an AD.

At the range I shoot at, the RO does not allow people near the firing benches during cease fire, he yells when anyone goes near them and will gladly send you home if you don't comply. This should be standard practice at all ranges, period, as a safety measure you can't have people touching their guns while people are down range. The parking lot is close, so I only bring out 1 un at a time.
