and this is why i brought this out to the masses. ideas. someone is going to think of something i didnt. its going to be an evolving idea for a while. as i find different things are going to work better than others. the spike base wouldnt be bad for the area i shot at in the desert, it has pretty soft sand.

and yes i do tend to make things more complicated early on.

Actually, the car was towed in, shot for various experiments, and towed out. The experiment was very valuable for forensic works regarding trajectory and bullet impact study. I didn't shoot it just for the heck of it.

just keep staring at it and revisiting it. Then start looking for materials, that will be the limiting factor in the end.

I also have a big problem with form over ease of construction. I come up with ideas that look better than they need be which in turn makes construction more difficult.
