Walmart's prices used to beat online prices pretty badly. Now they are usually more expensive. $400 for 1k .223 is a horrible deal

and what's with the 325 value packs of .22? what happened to the 525?

i got excited when i saw the .223 VPs... then i saw the price and made a quick calculation. i could get 500 rounds of once fired military brass reloads for $150.

by the way, if anyone's wondering where these are, i was at duarte and azusa locations.

Pricing the .223 at the local Wal-Mart the other day, the Remington 20 cts were a better price point for 5 than the Federal 100 ct "Value Pack".

Is it, perhaps, a Federal thing?

Wal-mart at the Long Beach Towne center does not carry ammo. Who knew?

I got a couple (last 2 they had) of the 325 packs at WM on Tuesday for 15 a piece. Not a great deal but cheaper than most gunstores. I was able to get a box of 9mm for 12 a couple days before that.

I won't speak to it being a "good deal", but its GREAT ammo. Some say its a bit over-powered, but personally, I like it that way. There is a very significant difference in power with the Federal "bulk box" stuff and most other commonly available brass .223 ammo out there. So yeah, even at a not-so-good deal of $40 per 100, I buy it when I can.

Went to the Walmart in Gilroy last night. Plenty of .223, .308 and CCI rimfire, except LR. RWS 9mm and a little of the 12ga value packs. They had a lot of stuff I don't need and none of the stuff I needed.
