That is correct. On the team I played on, we competed in 5 on 5-man tournaments. Prior to both teams walking onto the playing field, both competing teams must chrono to see if their guns are at or below max. After the game is played, one player is singled out of the winning team to have his gun chronoed. If his gun is hot (above max), the team is docked points BIG TIME, since the games are based on a points system. I wonder if the tournament rules have changed?

I heard by rumor that on a Worr Games Autococker, you can crank up the speed of you shove the cocking block HARD forward during the firing sequence. I used to own a Palmer Blazer (a cousin to the Autococker) and never tried it. Even if I did, the cocking block is so small!

you press on the cocking rod, this is another reason why beaver tails are or were mandatory along with keeping the bolt from smacking you.

This increases the pressure of the spring on the bolt that hits the gas valve.

You have to be carefull too much PSI and you will be breaking paint in your marker. That is never cool but seems to happen a lot less nowadays than when I first played PB.

A few years ago I had a Tipman 98 with the flatline (curved) barrel. That was a trip! When you fired it, the paintball would spin in mid air and flip up right as it started sagging. It was fun to turn the marker sideways and watch the paintball go around corners. That marker had a lot of range, but often broke paint.

I have a spyder fenix now. Love it!

Heck, I remember the old Tippmann 98's. A couple of my teammates had them and they did well with them and were light weight. The new A-5 looks like a H&K SP-89!

Didn't Tippmann have an early Power Feed system that required manual windup? Frankly I'd take a powered Viewloader anyday. What happened when you are in a firefight and the spring gives out on you? That's like having empty mags in your gun in a gun fight!

Yeah those new tipmans are sweet. I'd proally want one, but I feel shallow buying a marker *just* for looks.

I have one of those sonic loaders for my fenix. Put over 1000 paintballs through it with no jams or breaks.

paintball is fun. im still a newbie, i just usually play with my friends at some free field.

I have custom 98, the only aftermarket thing on it is a new barrel and it shoots pretty accurate (for a paintball)

it was pretty fun the first time we went out, it was the first time i ever shot a paintball gun (crappy rental) but i got my friends really good a few times. got hit in the head from accross the field too - kinda hurt but paint didnt break

i usually just wear double pants and a sweatshirt
