I share the same sentiments with the OP.

I have been looking for a small frame 38, the missus needs something she can handle. Everytime I go to a shop they always want 600+ for a basic one from a reputable maker.

Not crazy about polymer framed revolvers either.

I know the supply is exceeding the demand because I keep seeing the same revolvers in display cases.
