Does anyone know of any gun shops in Chula Vista CA? My friend says he went to one shop called "Chula Vista Gun Store" but the guy didnt have any guns on display.. he said that the city doesnt allow guns to be sold. Is this true? Anyone know of any other shops?

I'm old enough(35) to remember when Chula Vista did have gun shops. There was a little hole in the wall gun shop on 3rd Ave. that I remembered sold military-style semi-auto rifles when I peeked my little kid head in eons ago.
I remember when Chula Vista Gun Shop sold firearms(I think their FFL may of been yanked forever ago). ETA: Why wouldn't they just relocate if it was only a city thing?
And, I'm old enough to remember when K-Mart, Wal-Mart and Sports Authority(handguns even!) sold firearms in Chula Vista.
I don't know exactly what the deal is with why there are no gun shops in Chula Vista, but it may have something to do with the local zoning, mayor, city council and police chief.Constitutionally, officials cannot license or register a fundamental right.

Is it the one across for Robertos taco shop on Broadway? They have not sold guns for years now - if they are still there. Im only in that area for burritos and tacos.Comment

No more Weiser's in NC?The thing with firearms is that they are not like any other consumer product, simple ownership of one carries a lot of responsibility.
Some idiots are too busy knowing it all to ever learn anything

Like the store in Chula Vista, it's been closed for a couple of years. The parking lot is a used car lot and I the building is a Youth Center (I think, funny thing is I drive by there twice a day going to and from work.)
There's a lot more SO-SOCAL'ers here than I thought there was.sigpic

And yet the old Trophy lounge hell hole is still caddy corner to where Weisers used to be. If any place should lose a license and be banned... Oh well.Like the store in Chula Vista, it's been closed for a couple of years.
