Too bad snap caps don't pop out the same as real bullets.
I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

      +1

I have Snap-Caps for my pistols, my AR, my 308 rifle, my shotgun, and my 300WM rifle.

I use them because while some say they aren't needed (and are probably right for certain firearms), I dry-fire a LOT. I will usually dry-fire at least 100-500 rounds during practice for every live round fired at the range.

By using Snap-Caps, I don't have to worry about whether my particular firearm is able to withstand the use/abuse.

The firing pin isn't usually made to hit nothing. It is meant to strike the back of a round.

I cannot count the number of times that I personally dry-fired my M16. I cannot begin to imagine the number of times it was dry-fired before and after me.

So you saying that if you go to the range and shoot 1 Box of 50 you dry fired 5,000-25,000 times in practice ???

              Yup... pretty much.

Tonight, I've done at least 50 dry-fires on my USP. Probably closer to 100. I've also put at least 25 dry-fire rounds thru one of my ARs. I practice drawing, presenting, and proper shooting (sight alignment, trigger control, proper grip, etc) quite often. It doesn't take any special setup or preparation.

The purple ones automatically paralyze anybody who gets shot with one.
