This was indeed the Turners in San Marcos. I have also visited the one in orange county (just plain d*ck heads there and they spread fud) and the one in fontana (which wasn't too bad, just not as friendly as you would have hoped). I don't understand whats up with these people, I mean your trying to sell a product (and make a profit) and I have cash on hand for a gun I want. It shouldn't be a problem and if you don't wanna sell/show guns, you shouldn't work at a gun store. at that point your actually hurting the store and just pissing people off!

I once went to Turners in Orange to buy some 3.5" 12 GA #6 loads. The salesperson asked what I intended to hunt. I replied, "Rabbits!" The sales person refused me service.

I've visited the Reseda, Pasadena, and Redondo stores several times and never saw any horseplay like what was mentioned on this thread.
        How do you travel...

I regularly shop at the Turner's in Orange on Tustin. I've handled a few guns and the people were generally helpful and friendly. Last time I was there I even had one of them chastise a customer for unsafe handling.

          Decent people in my experience.

I have been to the Turners in San Marcos one time, and vowed to never return. They had a box of 30-06, Remington Corelocked 180gr marked $50. I asked if this was mismarked and he said hell no, there is a shortage and we have the only box. Price gouging is the fastest way to lose me as a customer.

I must thank them though in a way, I went home and ordered my reloader set up because of them. Duncans isn't much better but I have no other choice in emergencies for powder or primers. Duncans is the only one that carries real black powder.

I worked for Turners back in the early 90's and out of the 20 or so employees we had two knuckleheads. Never seems to be a problem when the boss is around, but if he wasn't watching, well, you know. If any manager, in any business doesn't know there's a problem, he can't fix it. Let the manager know what you saw or experienced. Give him the oportunity to do his job and fix the problem.

Chino is decent, other than the 11 day waiting period and FUD about transportation of ammo and gun separated.

Of course they are mute when you ask them a question and they don't seem to know what they are talking about, which I am not surprised at.

I don't shop there anymore because like the OP said, someone is gonna get shot in one of those overpriced shops.

I haven't been in the Berdoo store since being told the XD9 Service was not on the roster... I pointed to the one in the case, walked out, and bought one from Dave's around the corner.
