Turner's sucks!

I just went to my 3rd Turner's outdoor outlet and for the 3rd time, the sales people behind the counter are @sshats! Seriously, they are playing around with the rifles in the back, pointing it at each other and pulling the trigger. I hear a couple of clicks... I had to get up in their face to ask them to see some guns and they only gave me about a 2 second explaination that they are out of what I wanted and went back to playing (I'm not even kidding when I say 2 seconds!). I had to get their attention again to ask when they will get more in and they just shrugged and went back to playing with the rifles. I just left at that point cuz someones gonna get shot at that shop and I don't wanna have any part of it! Seriously, how the hell do they sell guns?

I was in the Kearney Mesa store a couple of weeks ago and there was a "sales person" playing with a couple revolvers; spinning the cylinders w/his hand to see how fast it would go? Also point the gun in the direction of people in the store and dry firing. What a MORON!

I think the Kearny Mesa one hired some college students not to long ago, and yes they lack complete gun safety discipline. Always playing with the guns, racking and what not.

Of course they are mute when you ask them a question and they don't seem to know what they are talking about, which I am not surprised at.

I don't shop there anymore because like the OP said, someone is gonna get shot in one of those overpriced shops.

I have heard a lot of people gripes about Turners, but this behavior is something I have never seen demonstrated by any employee at any Turners, by customers on occasion yes, but employees, no. In all instances the customers have been told to "not do that".

If this was actual behavior observed, you need to call the main office and let them know.

I go to Pasadena and Reseda stores primarily, and have never seen any problems.

Did you ask to speak with the manager? Thats pretty crappy that they didnt give you a straight answer. A lot of times the vendors screw up and dont ship stuff in time. If it was at the Turners I worked at I would of at least tried to give you a solid answer. Its like that at Matts store also and he is at West Covina. He would take care of you. I'm pretty sure he posts here from time to time.

FWIW, I have found that Turners in Fountain Valley has quality people at the gun counter.

FWIW the Turners in San Marcos has "younger" employees as well but I have never seen them act like that! I would have asked to speak to the manager immediately and wrote a letter to corporate as well. Did you get their names? Asshats like that shouldn't be anywhere near firearms let alone work at a gunshop!

West Covina is a good store. never seen any messing around and they will show you guns all day unless there is a long line. very little FUD too.

He's the director of sales for the Turner's chain of stores. I contacted him recently about the experience I had at the Kearny Mesa store. He emailed me back within 2 days and told me that he had forwarded my concerns on to the store manager.

I've seen the same type of behavior, at the Fountain Valley store. Seems limited to one or two guys in particular, the other staff is good. I just can't believe the "good" employees deal with these clowns, I don't.
