    ?????

The law states "10 consecutive 24-hour periods".
If you filled out the DROS at 10am on the 1st, your pickup time is not before 10am on the 11th.

The only thing I can see that might make this different would be if the shop holds the day's transactions until after close and transmits them then... but I'm not even sure that the transmission time matters.

I guess its different for big 5? If you purchase a gun Monday, the clock starts Tuesday. It's 10 days from Tuesday when you can pick up your gun.

But it doesn't make it correct.
The law says ten 24 hour periods.
It doesn't say "10 days from the day following your purchase"

After answering the questions for the DROS, did they hand you the laminated card and ask you to read and answer them aloud?
That happened to another member a few months ago.

At least the last day of your 10 day wait is not as bad as knowing you are selling your one and only AR-15 the next day. I am going to cry myself asleep tonight. lol

No they didn't, but if were talking about bad gun shop experiences, this was definitely one of them. I obviously wasn't expecting much from a Big 5, but I mean... This guy was just ridiculous. The instant I stepped through the door and started walking to the gun section, I could see the guy staring at me through the two way mirror, and he wouldn't even come out to help me. I had to ask the cashier to drag his *** out of the room to help me, and when he did, he had the most blatant judgmental demeanor about him.

Definitely won't be returning to that place once I pick up my Mosin...

The worst is when your 10th day lands on a Sunday when the shop is closed Sunday and Monday. You end up waiting 12 days to get your gun. Makes we want to cry. My rule is to never buy or ppt a gun on a Thursday or Friday.

I think the first few days are the worst.

Having your pickup date on a day when the store is closed is indeed awful. I did that last year. Had to wait like 12 or 13 days before I could pick it up.

I'm waiting to pick up a Glock 17 right now that I bought this past Saturday.

While I've been waiting I've bought some ammo and a couple extra mags. I'm sure when that stuff arrives in the mail it will only make the wait worse though.

                  10 days is just cruel.

Any day of the wait can be terrible. Just have to keep your mind off it, focus on other things, spend money on other hobbies

If day 9 is the worst, how about the last few minutes/hours of day 10.

Okay... I was going to ask why you even stuck around and actually bought something there, but ya.... Mosin Fever

That's what happened to me with my Calguns lower.
Day 10 was Sunday and Riflegear wasn't open.

But even worse... had they been open but with an early closing time on Sunday... My ten 24 hour periods were up at around 5pm Sunday, so I still would have had to wait until Monday!

I find the 10 days is for purchasing accessories and reloading some ammo.

                            Dear California,
I love you. I was born and raised in you. You have given me some of the best times of my life. Now with that said, I can not wait to move!
                            Your prisoner,
                            Andrew J.

That would suck. Why would a gun shop be closed on Sunday? The two in my area are closed on Mon and Tue. They take advantage of the fact that most people are off on Sunday. I am picking up a ruger tomorrow from big5.
