my take is that economics is the only reason to leave here. we are making stirdes (although very small in the rtkaba area) but it is the politics and economy that drives me away and it is soon a force that i will have to deal with

I'd rather live with 10 round mags and bullet buttons than live in some bug infested crime ridden rat siht hole like Houston (or any other city in Texas) or a large dusty oven like city like phoenix AZ.

California is the best state in the lower 48 to live in for the total package of lifestyle and economic oppurtunity.

if you can't get it done with 10 rounds maybe you need a new pair of glasses.

If the Siht does hit the fan is it just going to blow my whole day taking the 5 minutes per lower to remove all of my bullet buttons....?????

Really guys, get a grip....ever been to North Dakota in January???
I love America for the rights and freedoms we used to have.

+100 I can't really think of a reason that I'd ever want to goto North Dakota much less in January.

Cheer up, there has been headway here since 2006 when you left. The compliance issues with have already been described in the thread but the fact is that now quite a few police departments are now actually recognizing OLL's as legal whereas before people were going through the ringer even with compliant weapons. I think you'll find the climate changed in that regard. On a sad note, you may find a number of businesses you remember are now closed. The economy has taken a pretty heavy toll in this state and the state government is completely ineffective in dealing with it.

CA gun laws suck after being in WA...When I left, I sold to many guns cheap because of CA...I wish I had brought them in and modded them to comply. What BS. F--k the demos in government.

I went through the same depression when I moved back to CA from Oregon. If I had it to do over again....well, I left OR because I had to. Still regret it, though...
