Thanks for taking me up on this challenge for discussion if you did not notice the bait, that is a bait reasoned and/or historically provable issues. Look at all the focus of Haiti and compare that to the absolute and sheer neglect and sabotage of Katrina relief supplies to victims including FEMA turning back water, fuel, actually CUTTING police emergency communications lines (PROOF: see youtube link), and concentrating poor, black people into the stadium in which case murders and rapes occurred

Trijicon is a private company that makes a superior product. Its had the verses on the scopes long before the ME drove a truck into the WTC.

The owner was a christian and put verses on his scopes that had to do with his beliefs and sighting systems.

If the Govt. doesn't like it they can buy an inferior product. As long as Trijicon didn't change anything from the units used to approve the contract, the Govt. should live up to their end of the bargin.

If an individual doesn't want the verses on their scope then they should buy something else.

What's astonishing is that no one at Trijicon had enough of a clue to realize this was a bad idea. This jackassery hurts us in a number of was. It makes it harder for politicians in places like Pakistan to cooperate with our aims. We're dealing with people who's first goal is to get reelected, or at least no be killed, by their constituents. Making it easier for their opponents to portray them as friends of "the crusaders", does not help us.

It also makes it harder for our forces to engage with the local communities where they operate. This directly effects the success of our efforts in places like Afghanistan. You can be sure Al Queda and the Taliban is working hard to make sure every mud hut dwelling, inbred, goat farmer knows about the bible sights.

That's OK though. I'm sure the smug glow of righteousness someone at Trijicon got far outweighs the negatives.

I don't see anyone saying that those points you made aren't truths and that they're not aware of them. The way I see it, the majority of the people in this thread don't care about what Trij was doing. It wouldn't matter if the majority of the U.S. didn't care. What matters is the wrong people care and are overpowering the rest. If "we" (people who don't care) can't win with something as silly as this, how can "we" win against all the points you pointed out?

IMO, laws that restrict our Natural Rights, such as the 2A, shouldn't differ between states. Of course, I don't think there should be restrictions period. But to have one state where you have almost complete freedom to another where you have almost no rights is the wrong way to go. But this thread isn't about that, so I'll stop here.

This is not meant to be malicious... but to the religious advocates out there, how many people know the history of the bible, not what the bible says... there is so much left out..., the book of John has more than 400 different authors, and that's just one book. There's no mention of Lillian, an incredibly important person... there's no mention of Jesus as a youth..., he didn't suddenly develop the gift of healing, he always had it... the bible is just ONE point of view of what Jesus taught. Look into the history and it will open many doors and give new insight...
