The standard model comes with a nice walnut stock. The PC9 is more common than the PC4.

The PC9 uses double stacked 9mm pistol magazines that are the same as one of the S&W handguns (686?) Any hi-cap double stacked 9mm magazine you already have will probably work if you cut another notch at the right position for the magazine catch.

I have the PC-4 and I like it alot. I modified a CZ-40 mag to work in it.

Dang, that looks like a FUN weapon.

I'd love to get a featureless 9mm carbine that uses glock mags.

My PC9 mags interchange with Ruger P89 mags.

Olympic Arms, Lone Wolf Distributors and MGI all make ARs that use Glock magazines.
You could get one of those and make it featureless, in order to use your large capacity Glock magazines.

I've got the PC-4 (police carbine 40 cal). They were popular with some departments, but the one flaw was officers were carrying magazines for their Beretta's or Glocks, and the carbine used Ruger magazines. If Ruger they would have made them to use Glock or Beretta magazines, they would probably still be selling them to P.D.'s.
They are a blast to shoot. And if you reload, very cheap to shoot.

I've thought of that and may do that though I'd prefer something without a pistol grip that looks like a classic rifle, like this Ruger.

If I was going for a pistol grip carbine i'd have to go with a sub2000, though those need some work before being ca legal.

Add me to the list of PC9 owners . My first rifle purchase, I got one of the earlier ones marked "Police Carbine". I also have a nice supply of preban Ruger 15 rd mags for it. It shoots anything, not picky at all. The trigger is not the greatest, but it's decent enough (I hear the later models are rougher). There was a time that I wanted to sell it because of my preoccupation with ARs, but I'm glad I kept it.
